What We Believe
As drawn from the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, we believe:
The Bible is the inspired, infallible and inerrant Word of God.
God exists eternally in three persons; the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
All people are born with a sinful nature and need a Savior.
Salvation is God’s plan to redeem sinful people who will repent from their sins, believe in Jesus Christ and commit to follow Him.
Heaven and Hell are real: the former a place of eternal rest and reward for Christ-followers; the latter a place of punishment and torment for those who reject Christ.
The Church is the Body and Bride of Christ, existing to witness to sinners and disciple Christians.
Baptism is by immersion, symbolic of a changed life and is necessary for membership.
The Lord’s Supper commemorates Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death.
Sunday provides an avenue to obey God’s command for believers to assemble for worship.
Evangelism and Missions are commended activities whereby God uses humans to share His message of salvation with those who need a Savior.
Stewardship is an act of obedience wherein Christians return to God a portion of their time, talents and treasure.
